    • Developing an in-house solution for automated energy trading ("arbitrage") using battery energy storage systems (BESS).
    • Functions as a tertiary controller above the plant control system (T3000) and generates market-optimized setpoints for charging and discharging cycles.
    • Goal: Integration into the existing SE portfolio to enable direct control of trading strategies—without external providers.
    • Implementation: In cooperation with RWTH Aachen University, an algorithm is being developed for the Energy Management System (EMS) that fully transfers software, hardware, and intellectual property (IP) to SE.
